Williams compared Pitt to LeBron James because both stars have stayed at the top of their fields for a very long time.
LeBron entered the NBA in 2003 and has remained one of basketball’s biggest names for more than two decades. Pitt has also remained a major name in Hollywood for more than 30 years.
Williams wanted to know how Pitt has managed to stay successful for so long.
Pitt gave a simple answer while joking about getting older.
“Well, I polish up well, but I got creaky knees and everything just getting here to get to this chair,” Pitt said on the podcast. “But no, I believe in staying physical. I think it’s really important.”
The 62-year-old actor then explained that staying active helps him feel better and stay physically strong.
“I remember in off times I feel worse when I am staying physical, and I can build that up. I think it builds strength around your joints and everything else, and you can be more capable. So I’m looking to play tennis till I’m 80 or something,” Pitt continued.
Pitt’s answer was not really about a secret to staying famous. Instead, he talked about staying active and taking care of his body as he gets older.
Still, the LeBron James comparison became the main topic among fans.

One fan immediately named another actor.
“Nah it’s Denzel”
The fan was referring to Denzel Washington, who has also enjoyed a long and successful Hollywood career.
Another fan connected the discussion directly to the famous LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan debate.
“Denzel must be Jordan”
Tom Cruise also became part of the discussion.
One fan simply wrote:
“Nah Tom Cruise is”
Another fan explained why they thought Cruise was a better comparison.
“Tom Cruise is the LeBron of acting bruh, both loved and Hated by people”
The comparison makes sense in one way. Cruise became a major Hollywood star in the 1980s and has remained one of the industry’s biggest names for decades.
Like LeBron, Cruise has enjoyed a long career, huge popularity and continued attention from the public.
However, one fan did not think any actor could truly match LeBron.
“There is no LeBron in acting”
That opinion also highlights a major difference between sports and Hollywood.
Basketball gives fans clear numbers to compare players. They can look at points, championships, awards, and many other statistics.
Acting does not work in the same way. There is no single number that can measure an actor’s career.

If the focus is longevity, Pitt clearly matches the basic idea behind Williams’ comparison.
If the focus is popularity, cultural impact, awards or blockbuster success, fans may choose someone else.

The movie gives another example of Pitt continuing to take major leading roles more than 30 years after he became a Hollywood star.
That long career is what started the LeBron James comparison in the first place.
But fans clearly have different ideas about who fits the comparison.
Some see Brad Pitt as a strong match. Others believe Denzel Washington or Tom Cruise fit the comparison better.
Another fan sees Leonardo DiCaprio as the LeBron of acting and Pitt as closer to Kevin Durant.
