The World Championship of Legends (WCL) is a top-level international cricket league where retired international players, who are no longer under contract, get back into competitive T20 cricket. It mixes nostalgia with serious competition, giving legends a global stage to play for their countries once again. It’s structured similarly to T20 leagues, with teams sold to private franchise owners. Harshit Tomar, a famous rapper and a singer, is the Founder of the league, with an Indian actor Ajay Devgan as the Co-Owner.
The first edition of the World Championship of Legends happened in 2024. It was the 2nd most-watched cricket tournament around the world, with over 325 million views.
