The FIR was registered under Section 69 of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita), which covers cases related to sexual intercourse and deceitful means. Ghaziabad police started the process, including potential arrest and medical examination of the complainant.

The cricketer Yash Dayal has now taken a step and has filed a counter-complaint with the police in Prayagraj (Khuldabad). He denied all the complaints made by the Ghaziabad women against him and said it was part of a blackmailing. Earlier, the Ghaziabad woman said that Yash Dayal repeatedly had a physical relationship with her. She also said that the cricketer introduced her to his family, and the family assured her that she would be their daughter-in-law. The woman claimed that, with complete honesty and dedication, she maintained a relationship.
The Ghaziabad woman also told the police that all these things caused her depression, which even needs treatment. She said, “I tried to end my life many times because I couldn’t get out of the mental pain.” The victim also accused Yash Dayal of relationship with other women, which caused her mental breakdown and trauma.
