The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is over, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has won their first-ever IPL title under the leadership of Rajat Patidar. There are some outstanding performances in the IPL 2025, but at the same time, there are a few players whom we had a lot of expectations, but haven’t done well this season. Today, we will talk about the IPL 2025 Flop 11. We will consider those players whom we had expectations, but have not been able to create an impact, and didn’t perform well in the IPL 2025. So let’s start.
NOTE: We will consider the IPL rule of having only four non-Indian players in the playing XII (including the impact player).
IPL 2025 Flop 11: IPL 2025 Flop Players
-
Rachin Ravindra
Rachin Ravindra came into the IPL 2025 with a lot of confidence and runs under his belt in international cricket. He has been scoring runs but did not live up to expectations in the IPL 2025. He scored only 191 runs in eight games this season, with an average of 27.29 and a strike rate of 128.19. Rachin will open the inning in our IPL 2025 Flop 11.
-
Travis Head
Travis Head was a key member of SRH last year. His ability to go after the bowlers right from the word go makes him one of the most dangerous openers in white-ball cricket. But this season, he only manages to score 374 runs in 13 games at an average of 31.17 and a strike rate of 162.61. His quick starts in the power play were missing in quite a few games this season. That’s why he is one of our IPL 2025 flop players.

Rishabh Pant (c) and (wk)
Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player in IPL history when the LSG franchise bought him for an INR 27 crore. He hasn’t done justice to his skill and his price tag this season. Apart from his 118* against RCB, he hasn’t made an impact for LSG this season. Also, on the captaincy front, he made a few decisions that cost his team a few games. He will also keep wickets and lead our IPL 2025 Flop 11. In IPL 2025, he scored 269 runs at an average of 24.45 and a strike rate of 133.17.
-
Venkatesh Iyer
Venkatesh Iyer has played at either No. 4 or 5 in the IPL 2025. The KKR franchise has shown faith in him and retained him for a whopping INR 23.75 crore. He has done well for the franchise in the past, but this season, he has only managed to score 142 runs in 11 games at an average of 20.29 and a strike rate of 139.22.
-
Liam Livingstone
Liam Livingstone has a big reputation for hitting big sixes. But, not just in IPL 2025, but over the years, he has failed to make a mark in the IPL seasons. He did play an important cameo in the IPL 2025 final against PBKS, but he will feature in our IPL 2025 Flop 11 list. In IPL 2025, he only scored 112 runs in 10 games at an average of just 16 and a strike rate of 133.33. With the ball, he only bowled nine overs and took two wickets.
-
Nitish Kumar Reddy
Nitish Kumar Reddy has been rewarded a place in the Indian Cricket Team in both the test and T20I squads after his good performances in the IPL 2024. Between the IPL 2024 and 2025, he became an Indian player, and his stocks have gone higher since then. He came in with an expectation of giving the right balance to the team, with his all-round ability. But he hardly bowled in the IPL 2025 and has been a failure with the bat. He only managed to score 182 runs in 13 games at an average of 22.75 and a strike rate of 118.95.

Axar Patel
Axar Patel is one of the most improved cricketers in world cricket, across formats. He has been an integral part of the Indian team across formats and has done well in both departments (bat and ball). This season, he was given an opportunity to lead DC, and the team has started well with four wins in the first four games. But the franchise’s performance dipped, and Axar’s performance wasn’t a great one. He batted higher up the order this season, but only managed to score 263 runs in 12 games at an average of 26.30 and a strike rate of 157.49. With the ball, he only took five wickets in 12 games at an average of 57.60.
-
Rashid Khan
It’s straight the second season where Rashid Khan looked a bit off colour. The Afghan spinners are one of the best T20 players in the world currently, but they failed to make an impact in IPL 2025. He bowled 55 overs and only managed to take nine wickets at an average of 57.11. His economy (9.35) is also on the higher side in the IPL 2025. He hasn’t had much opportunity with the bat this season. Whatever little opportunity he got with the bat, he failed to make a mark as well.
-
Ravi Bishnoi
Ravi Bishnoi is a regular in India’s T20I setup and has been an integral part of the LSG franchise since 2022. But, he hasn’t lived up to the expectations in the IPL 2025. He only took nine wickets in 11 games at an average of 44.56 and a strike rate of 24.67. Bishnoi not taking regular wickets in the middle overs costs LSG the momentum in a few games in IPL 2025, as they couldn’t control the run flow by the opposition in the middle phase of the inning.
-
Mohammad Shami
Mohammad Shami is at the last stage of his professional career. But he has the experience of big stages and has played a lot of highly competitive cricket over the years. SRH banked on Shami in the IPL 2025 auction, but he only took six wickets in nine games this season, with an average of 56.17. His economy is also on the higher side this season, being 11.23.

Jofra Archer
Jofra Archer, ever since he has been injury-prone, his performances have gone down. His pace is not right up there, and he went for a lot of runs consistently. His consistency in wicket-taking has also been questioned. In IPL 2025, he only took 11 wickets in 12 games at an average of 39.18. He also failed to restrict runs in the death overs.
Impact Player:-
Rinku Singh/Mohammad Siraj
Either Rinku Singh or Mohammad Siraj can come in as an impact player in the IPL 2025 Flop 11. Both players have had great outings in the IPL 2025. Rinku has only managed to score 206 runs in 13 games at an average of 29.43 and a strike rate of 153.73. Siraj, on the other hand, has been a regular member in international cricket. But his performances have been dipping slightly over the last year or so. In IPL 2025, he took 16 wickets in 15 games at an average of 32.94. His economy is 9.25 in the IPL 2025.
If the team needs an extra batter, Rinku can come in as an impact player. Siraj can come in as an impact if the team needs an extra bowler. It all depends on the match situation.
So this is our IPL 2025 Flop 11 or IPL 2025 Flop Players. There are a few more players like Tristan Stubbs, Kuldeep Yadav, Vijay Shankar, etc, who haven’t lived up to the team’s and fans’ expectations this season, but we have picked these above-mentioned players in our IPL 2025 Flop 11. These players are professionals and will look to rectify themselves in the next season. Every player goes through a bad season. What do you think?
