Andre Russell started his IPL career with the Delhi Daredevils (now known as Delhi Capitals) franchise against Deccan Chargers in 2012. As of April 27, 2025, he has played 135 IPL games and scored 2539 runs with the bat and taken 122 wickets with the ball.

The left-handed aggressive opener is a new addition to the list of fastest 1000 runs in IPL by the batters. Travis Head took only 575 balls to complete 1000 runs in IPL history. He achieved this record during the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) vs Mumbai Indians (MI) league stage match in IPL 2025.

Travis Head started his IPL career way back in 2016, while playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He made his IPL debut against MI on April 20, 2016, at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The left-hander scored 37 runs off 24 balls in his debut game. For so many years, he has not featured in the IPL before SRH picked him in 2024. As of April 27, 2025, he has scored 1033 runs in 34 IPL games.

• Heinrich Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen is currently one of the best white-ball batters in the world, especially against the spinners. As of April 2025, he is the 3^rd batter in the list of fastest 1000 runs in IPL.

• Virender Sehwag

Chris Gayle, the universe boss, took five balls more than Maxwell (a total of 615 balls) to reach 1000 runs. He is currently at No. 6 in the fastest 1000 runs in the IPL list. The big left-handed West Indian opener is a T20 legend, having played in almost all the leagues around the world. For the West Indies as well, he has scored a lot of runs in T20Is.

Chris Gayle started his IPL career with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2009. In 2011, RCB signed him as an injury replacement, and since then, he has not looked back. He played for the Punjab Kings as well. Overall, he has played 142 matches in IPL and scored 4965 runs with an average of 39.72 and a strike rate of 148.97. • Yusuf Pathan

Yusuf Pathan has made a huge impact in his IPL career, whether he played for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) or the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He took 617 balls to reach 1000 runs in the tournament.

Yusuf Pathan started his IPL career in 2008 and won the title with RR. From 2011 to 2017, he played for KKR and won two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. In his last part of his IPL career, he played for SRH in 2018-19. Overall, he played 154 innings in the IPL and scored 3204 runs.

• Sunil Narine

Sunil Narine has taken the same number of balls (617 balls) as Yusuf Pathan to reach 10000 runs in IPL. But Pathan achieved this feat earlier, so that’s why he is at No. 7 and Narine is at No. 8 in the fastest 1000 runs in IPL list.

Sunil Narine has been one of the key players for KKR over the years. He is a genuine match-winner, not just with the ball, but with the bat as well. The West Indies has been used as a floater in the batting order and has done well. As far as his bowling, his mystery is hard to pick by the opposition batters.
