Pakistan’s qualification for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 made their fans happy. But one Pakistan cricket team fan seemed to have a different wish for the team.
Pakistan beat Hong Kong at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and reached the semi-finals. After the match, Pakistan head coach Wahab Riaz spoke to some fans near the advertising boards. During the interaction, one fan made a request that caught attention.
The fan did not ask Wahab Riaz to help Pakistan win the Asia Cup trophy. Instead, he said that he mainly wanted Pakistan to beat India.
The fan could be heard saying: “Wahab sahab, India par koshish karein. Wahab bhai, India ko beat karna hai humne. Humein (Asia Cup) trophy nahi chahiye, India ko humne harana hai. India ko nahi chhodna.”

In English, the fan’s message was: “Wahab sir, please try to beat India. We have to beat India. We don’t want the Asia Cup trophy; we want to beat India. We don’t want to spare India.”
The video has attracted attention because it shows how much emotion an India vs Pakistan cricket match can create. For many fans, the match can feel bigger than the tournament itself.
Pakistan’s win over Hong Kong helped them reach the semi-finals. They will now play Sri Lanka in the last-four match. India will face either Bangladesh or the UAE in the other semi-final.
This means India and Pakistan can meet again, but only in the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 final.
India Had Already Dominated Pakistan
The fan’s request is interesting because Pakistan had already suffered a big loss against India earlier in the tournament.
India bowled Pakistan out for only 55 runs. India then chased the target in just 8.3 overs and won the match by seven wickets.
The result gave India another strong win and showed why they are one of the top teams in the Women’s Asia Cup 2026.
The loss hurt Pakistan because 55 became their lowest total against India in a Women’s T20I. It also showed the big difference between the two teams on that day.

The ICC later found Sana guilty of breaking Level 1 of its Code of Conduct. She received a fine of 10 per cent of her match fee and one demerit point.
The offence came under Article 2.5 of the ICC Code. This rule covers words, actions or gestures that can insult a batter or encourage an aggressive reaction after a dismissal.
The incident added more tension to an already emotional India vs Pakistan women’s cricket match.

When a fan says, “Humein trophy nahi chahiye, India ko harana hai,” it shows that some supporters can see a win over India as more important than winning the tournament.
It is easy to understand why the rivalry creates such strong emotions.
India and Pakistan have one of cricket’s biggest and most emotional rivalries. The relationship between the two countries has often remained tense. Because of this, cricket has become much more than a sport for many fans.
The two teams also rarely play against each other outside major tournaments. So, every India vs Pakistan match gets huge attention and creates strong emotions.
However, there is also a problem when the rivalry becomes the main goal.
A team enters a tournament to win the trophy. If beating India becomes more important than winning the tournament, a team can lose focus on its bigger goals.

India also leads the Asia Cup, winning the men’s tournament eight times compared to Pakistan’s two titles.
