What makes Dinusha’s performance even more encouraging for Sri Lanka is the way he batted. His sweep and reverse sweep worked well against spin throughout the series. India moved to 68 points from 11 Tests, with a points percentage of 51.52. Sri Lanka, meanwhile, moved to 24 points from six Tests and a percentage of 33.33.
The difference between the two teams is still clear, but India cannot afford to feel too comfortable. Their next challenges include New Zealand and Australia, two teams that can make the WTC race much tougher.
