Virat Kohli Records- Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) registered their 4th win in the IPL 2025 when they played against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on April 13. It was the first RCB vs RR encounter in the 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB went on to win the game quite easily in the end. They chased down a target of 174 with 9 wickets and 15 balls to spare. Phil Salt scored a quick-fire 65, and Virat Kohli also scored an unbeaten 62 before Devdutt Padikkal finished the game in the 17th over. This match saw another remarkable addition to the list of Virat Kohli records. Virat Kohli becomes the first Asian to achieve 100 fifties in T20 cricket (all T20s including internationals, IPL, and domestic).
Virat Kohli Records – The Indian Superstar achieved another milestone
In the IPL 2025’s RCB vs RR league stage match, we have seen another Virat Kohli record being made. He becomes the first Asian batter to achieve 100 fifties in T20 cricket. The right-handed batter scored his 100th T20 fifty against RR in the IPL 2025 on April 13, 2025, in Jaipur. He scored 62* runs off 45 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes, while RCB chased a target of 174.
In 405 T20 matches, he has scored 100 fifties and 9 hundreds with an average of 41.69 and a strike rate of 134.26. He has one hundred in international T20s and eight in the IPL.

Other than Virat Kohli, David Warner is the only batter with 100+ fifties in T20 cricket. As of April 14, 2025, in 400 T20 games (399 innings), Warner has scored 108 fifties in T20 cricket. He has eight hundred in T20 cricket, which means, he has 116 fifty-plus scores in this format.

As of April 14, 2025, Babar Azam is at No. 4 on this list. He is the 2nd Asian after Virat Kohli to have 100+ fifty-plus scores in T20 cricket. Babar has 101 fifties-plus scores with 90 fifties and 11 hundred in this format. He averages 43.13 and has a strike rate of 129.32.

RCB vs RR IPL 2025, 28th Match, Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur
Before the Virat Kohli Records, RCB won the toss and decided to bowl first in the 28th game of the IPL 2025. RR started well with a 49-run opening stand. At one stage, they were 105 for one, but their scoring rate was not that quick. That’s why, even with 6 wickets in hand in the end, they managed to score just 173 on the board.
