The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a platform for players to showcase their talent and skills, and quite a few players went on to become big players in world cricket after performing well in this highly competitive tournament. In the IPL 2025, we have seen some great performances with the bat and ball, and today, we will pick the IPL 2025 best team or best XI, plus an impact player. So let’s start.

NOTE: (a) We will pick the players based on their performances and their impact on their respective teams.

(b) The players we will pick are based on their roles at their respective positions. Like, for example, if there are 3-4 openers who have done well in the IPL 2025, we will only pick the two best ones and not put the other openers in the middle order just to include them in the IPL 2025 Best Team or Best XI.

(c) We will consider the rule of IPL, where only a maximum of four foreign players are allowed to be in the playing XII (including an impact player).

• Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli will be the first opener in the IPL 2025 best team or best XI. He is a very classic player, very pleasing to the eyes, technically very sound, and has been consistent throughout the IPL 2025 season. In the IPL 2025, he scored 657 runs in 15 games at an average of 54.75 and a strike rate of 144.71. His efforts helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to win the first title in 2025.

• Sai Sudharsan

Sai Sudharsan will be Virat’s opening partner. Sudharsan was also consistent and had all the cricketing shots in his arsenal. He becomes the orange cap holder in IPL 2025 after scoring 759 runs in 15 games at an average of 54.21 and a strike rate of 156.17.

• Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav’s ability to take on bowlers in the middle overs makes him one of the most dangerous T20 batters in world cricket. In IPL 2025, he scored 717 runs in 16 games at an average of 65.18 and a strike rate of 167.92.

• Shreyas Iyer (c)

Shreyas Iyer has shown in IPL 2025 that he winning an IPL title with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2024 wasn’t a fluke. He has the leadership quality, and he became the first captain to lead three different franchises to the IPL finals. He played the final as captain of Delhi Capitals (DC) in 2020, won the final with KKR in 2024, and played the final with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in 2025. With the bat, he scored 604 runs at an average of 50.33 and a strike rate of 175.07. He will lead the IPL 2025 best team.

• Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran is a very destructive batter in world cricket. He counterattacks the bowlers in the middle overs, when teams control the game the most. In IPL 2025, he scored 524 runs in 14 games at an average of 43.67 and with an astonishing strike rate of 196.25.

• Heinrich Klaasen (wk)

Heinrich Klaasen is by far one of the best batters in world cricket currently, when it comes to playing spinners in white-ball cricket. His ability to pick the length early gives him an edge over the opposition bowlers. He will also keep wickets in the IPL 2025 best team. In IPL 2025, he scored 487 runs in 13 innings at an average of 44.27 and a strike rate of 172.70.

• Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya gives a much-needed balance to this IPL 2025 best team. He will be the only all-rounder in the team. In IPL 2025, he picked 17 wickets in 15 games and scored 109 runs. He played a few valuable knocks this season and played an important role in bowling the middle overs. He bowled a match-winning spell in the final against PBKS to help RCB win their first-ever IPL trophy.

• Noor Ahmed

Noor Ahmed looked like the only spinner in this IPL season who has been consistent and taking wickets. He was very hard to pick by the opposition bowlers. In this season, he took 24 wickets in 14 games at an average of 17. Unfortunately, his team, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), ended up at the last of the points table.

• Josh Hazlewood

Josh Hazlewood has become one of the most improved T20 bowlers in world cricket in the last few years. His ability to bowl those hard lengths makes the batter’s life difficult. He took 22 wickets in 12 games in the IPL 2025, at an average of 17.55.

• Jasprit Bumrah

When it comes to bowling, you cannot keep Jasprit Bumrah out of the list. After missing the first few games of the season, he came back with a bang. His inclusion in the team makes the Mumbai Indians (MI) an even stronger side. Bumrah can bowl with the new ball, breaks partnerships in the middle overs, and can restrict runs in the death overs. He can swing the ball both ways, has a toe-crushing yorker, and can deceive the batters with his variations. In IPL 2025, he took 18 wickets in 12 games at an average of 17.56.

• Prasidh Krishna

Prasidh Krishna is the purple cap holder in the IPL 2025. He will share a new ball with either Jasprit Bumrah or Josh Hazlewood in the IPL 2025 best team. His efforts helped GT reach the top 4 of the IPL 2025. He took 25 wickets in 15 games at an average of 19.52.

Impact Player:-

KL Rahul or Arshdeep Singh

The impact player in the IPL 2025 best team could be either KL Rahul or Arshdeep Singh. If the team bats first, then Arshdeep can come in as a replacement for any batter. KL Rahul can come in the second inning if the team bowls first. Also, it all depends on the match situation. If the team needs an extra batter in the first inning, they can bring in Rahul in the first inning or vice-versa in case of Arshdeep.

So this is the IPL 2025 best XI or best team. There are a few other players like Mitchell Marsh, Shubman Gill, Trent Boult, R Sai Kishore, etc, who have done well in the IPL 2025, but the above-mentioned makes the cut in our final XII.
